Above is some typography I created whilst doing A level Graphic Design. I used the words meaning: “imagining impossible or improbable things” to produce illustrations around and through the word ‘Fantasy’.
Rainbows, clouds, castles etc. were all things I thought about while producing patterns. After I was happy with the outcome of the word I over lapped it with a few different images, the below image became my favourite. I liked how it made Fantasy seem dark and almost bad in a sense. Turning the image red and using a photograph which used alcohol in it helped convey these thoughts.
I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it’s a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope.”
